10/13/2015

October 13th 2015, we are celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. Three of our friends have Hispanic heritage. Two friends are from Ecuador and one friend is from Mexico & Guatemala. We made Mexican Traditional Dessert called Capirotada then we read "New Shoes for Silvia," a story about a girl in central America who got a package of new red shoes from her aunt. But the shoes were too big but that didn't stop her from finding lots of ways to enjoy them while she waited for her feet to grow. Lastly and the most exciting activity of the day is breaking the Piñata. It has been a fun filled day.
