Happy New Year 2018

We said good bye to 2017 and now we're welcoming 2018. We noticed that there were a lot of snow outside. When the temperature outside is warm enough, we'd like to be outside playing, exploring and learning. There's a big snow banks at the corner of our parking lot where we frequently visited. It's a perfect place to be a mountain climber, a snow ball maker, a snow slider, a snow angel maker and an explorer. When the temperature is frigid outside, we made ourselves busy inside with art projects, such as painting snow banks with shaving cream and glue, folding painting, making rainbow crayons by melting them and coloring different medium such as big butcher paper & boxes. We filled our sensory table with snow then we put shaving cream on the mirror for the children to touch, mix, smear and play. Our pretend center is a grocery store, where the children can be a grocer and customers. When we read "The Little Red Hen Makes a pizza," we decided to make our own little pizza and it was a hit! There are a lot of transactions happening. We are in the process of finding the next project the children are interested in.
