Our second theme of the year is Family. On this theme, our pretend center turned into a family kitchen and dining room with babies to care and outfit where children can pretend to be daddy, mommy, grandparents, brother, sister and relatives. Our classroom also had been decorated by children artworks related to the books we've read and the family theme. The PM children count how many letters they have in their name (none of them has as  many letters as Chrysanthemum). We painted our blue chair pink just like Peter did in "Peter's chair." We made egg art with ducklings or baby crocodiles picking up as the egg hatched just like in the book "Guji Guji." We also put together people that live with us in our house, some has 3 brothers, some lives with grandma and some only have one sister. With the fall in full swing, we got some pumpkin to explore. We all made prediction of what could be inside a pumpkin before we opened it (pretty crazy and interesting predictions too) then when we found out that the pumpkin had seeds, we grabbed some and counted how many seeds we managed to grab. The PM children had a visit from Ms. Angela (MacPhail Music) and sang some songs, played some instruments and parachute! .
