This theme we were explorer, Our pretend center has been turned into a camp site, with a fishing pond near by and nature hidden treasures for the children to find with their little binoculars. We also explored the world outside. This month we experienced snow and rain. We explored the snow in the playground as well as the mountain heaping of snow in our parking lot. The children had fun climbing, sledding and walking in the snow mountain.  We also brought the snow inside our warm classroom and after playing with it in the sensory table, we made prediction of what's going to happen to the snow and found out what really happen to the snow. When we're unable to go outside, we had fun inside playing, duck, duck, grey duck. 3 corners or yoga! One of the book that we read was a story about children in Africa who built their school out of mud and the rain washed it away. So we had a discussion about building house out of mud, we watched videos, then we decided we wanted to do that too, so we made a shopping list and when we had the materials we need, we experimented. We tried to build something from mud and hay then we made prediction of what happen when the rain comes. It was pretty strong, we had to rock the tray to slump the house.
