The children has been talking about camping, going to the lake and fishing. So this summer, that's exactly what we're exploring. There's a tent in our pretend center where children can pretend to camp with fishing gears, outdoor cooking gear, binoculars and more. As we read books about camping and walking in nature, we're also creating a neighborhood using boxes which was displayed in Minnesota Orchestra Hall for Sommerfest. We talked about what do we want to see in nature walk, what do you want to take picture of and then we went on an adventure to find gold using our imagination. We created our own map where we wanted to hide our gold. We continued to adventure underwater with rainbow fish as we talked about being a good friend. As the day grew hotter, we learned to swim with Froggy, we created art outside by jumping on paper like frogs. The last week of school, we're preparing for our End of the Year Celebration, children painted and made decorations for the party. All summer, we also watched, cared and tended our garden. Unfortunately, we weren't be able to enjoy the fruit of our labor. But we will make sure we let you know our harvest. On our last day of school, the children wanted to have an ice cream party so we did, they wanted it in a cone with sprinkles. Just look at their joyful faces!
