AM Class Schedule

For students 3 years or older that are potty trained. Class focus is social emotional skills, confidence building, and following school rules with a side of early reading and math skills. 

PM Class Schedule

For student 4 years or older. Class focus is play based learning while teaching students the skills they need to regulate their emotions and advocate for what they need. This class has a heavy focus on foundational reading and math skills.
8:00 AM - 8:20 AM: Arrival

Students arrive at school, they put their backpacks in their cubbies. As soon as they enter the classroom they wash their hands and then go to their tables for independent tracing practice to work on pencil grip and fine motor skills needed for learning to write. After they finish, students are then able to go do a quiet activity such as looking at a book or doing a puzzle.

8:20AM - 8:40 AM: Circle Time
Students sit down on the carpet for morning group time. They talk about as a class how everyone is feeling and do a greeting song together. They then talk about what the weather is like that day and look at the calendar to see what day of the week it is and learn about the month. Students will then learn about what the color, shape, and letter of the day are. Finally, after a quick dance brain break, they will sit down for a group story time. 

8:40 AM - 9:00AM: Activity Time

Students will typically have either a math, science, or art group demonstration or activity to practice different skills and expose them to new concepts/topics.

9:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Free Play
Students have free play time where they can explore the classroom and play with what they would like to and play with their friends. During this time through play teachers help students practice and learn important social skills such as sharing, turn taking, using our words to ask for things, and being a kind friend. 

9:30 AM - 9:40 AM: Clean Up
Clean up time from free play.

9:40 AM - 10:00 AM: Snack time

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Gross Motor Play
Students will get their backpacks and dependent on the weather will either go to play outside or indoors in the gross motor playroom.

10:30 AM: Dismissal 
​Students get onto the bus to go home or are picked up by their parent/legal guardian.
12:30 PM - 12:45 PM: Arrival
Students enter and begin their welcome routine, focusing on penmanship and targeted literacy skills in a short workshop.

12:45 PM - 1:00 PM: Chilltivities
Engage in logic-based activities to strengthen fine motor and literacy skills; such as puzzles, sketch journals, playdough/clay, reading, and phonemic awareness games.

1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Circle Time
A bonding session where we share feelings, discuss social topics, identify the weather, recognize the calendar, and participate in a gross motor activity.

1:30 PM - 1:45 PM: Imagination Stations
Children rotate through themed stations (Science, Math, Art, and Sensory) designed to promote skill development. They also socialize with peers outside their usual friend groups.

1:45 PM - 2:00 PM: Snack
A balanced snack is provided to refuel for the afternoon.

2:00 PM - 2:15 PM: Group Focus
A quick whole-group lesson to focus on literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities.

2:15 PM - 3:00 PM: Free Play & Small Group Learning
Students engage in free play with toys of choice while participating in 5-10 minute small group sessions targeting numeracy and literacy skills.

3:00 PM - 3:15 PM: Clean Up Time
Children clean up and prepare for the end of the day by using the bathroom.

3:15 PM - 3:40 PM: Story Time
The story of the week is read, focusing on key vocabulary and discussions tied to the book and the current unit.

3:45 PM - 4:15 PM: Outdoor Play
Students enjoy outdoor play to develop gross motor skills. If weather is unfavorable, we will move to the indoor gross motor room.


4:15 PM: Dismissal 
​Students get onto the bus to go home or are picked up by their parent/legal guardian.
