A Magnificent May

The month of May brought us some beautiful Spring weather that both Preschool Pals classes took complete advantage of! The AM and PM classes got to enjoy picking flowers, finding ladybugs, hugging trees, learning to make sand castles, playing on the playgrounds, eating popsicles, and even reading books outside! We love going outside as much as we can and can't wait to continue to enjoy the Spring and Summer in the beautiful outdoors.

We also had our last music class with our music teacher, Ms. Nora, this month! Both classes got to play instruments, sing and dance to songs, and say goodbye to Ms. Nora till next school year. Our own Mr. Craig also brought his own drums from home to do a drum demonstration and let all the students try playing them too!

In addition to outside time and music, the AM and PM classes have been enjoying some in-classroom fun as well! Our revamped sensory bins have been a hit for the students to be able dig in a construction site, catch fish, plant flowers, make apple pies, make coffee, and scoop ice cream! They have also enjoyed putting their fine-motor skills to the test making beaded necklaces, bracelets, and even rings for themselves, family members, and each other. The AM class was also very fortunate to be visited by PNC Bank who gave each of them their very own bug hotel to take home and make with their families!

We finished up our month of May by having our Spring Parent Child Class on the topic of Fire Safety/Prevention! We were very lucky to be visited by two Captains from Minneapolis Fire Department who read the book "No Dragons for Tea" by Jean E. Pendziwol for the students, and gave a very informational presentation for the grown-ups. The day after the class, we had many friends who were very interested in fire fighters and wanted to dress up like them and wear their junior firefighter stickers the Captains left for them!
